I started this blog in January 2009.\u00a0 In fact, this is my third go at a blog.\u00a0 I first experimented on blogspot, but wasn’t really that serious about it.\u00a0 My second time was using WordPress.\u00a0 I hosted the blog on my own server at home.\u00a0 After a computer crash, I didn’t rebuild the server right away.\u00a0 I then got too busy with life and didn’t get back to bloging for a while.<\/p>\n
This blog is also hosted by myself on a Debian server.\u00a0 There is no better way to gain experience than doing.\u00a0 Just reading about it is not good enough to put in a resume.<\/p>\n
I have been in the Information Technology industry for over 15 years now.\u00a0 I have had a fairly wide range of exposure to different technologies.\u00a0 I always liked databases and project management.\u00a0 I have done everything from programming, network administrator, DBA, manager of application support to team lead of deskside support.\u00a0 In fact, I have always been fascinated by computers.<\/p>\n
My current career focus is on computer security.\u00a0 This explains the focus of this blog.\u00a0 I intend to post about computers and technology, but my main focus will always be on the security aspect of the use of computers.<\/p>\n
